To fulfill the dream of our clients this home was designed around a central courtyard. Like an Italian village, individual building volumes, group around a center space. And not only do all spaces open up to this core, but one has to transverse it in order to enter the home. We created a home without a front door.
To amplify the playfulness of all sides, we introduced various exterior materials, such as metal siding, cement panels, masonry, and exposed, naturally weathering cedar slats. All elements that we guided into the house.
